Does anyone recognize the gentleman walking through our neighborhood?
He is caring a large walking stick, talking on a cell phone – perhaps taking photos – and
wearing a tweed type jacket/suit? . Perhaps he is someone’s relative. Definitely looks
    out of place.

Vehicle thieves are at it again. Sometime between 9:30 pm and 5:30 am, we had a Garmin stolen out of a vehicle parked in our driveway at Fairway and Edmonds. The driver’s side back door was left open by the thieves. The vehicle was accidentally left unlocked overnight. Our other locked vehicles were untouched. Greg reported the loss and the Sheriff’s department said they would step up patrols.

This update from the Neighborhood Watch team is a bit delayed. My apologies.
Susan Greer at Stockdale CC reported that on early Thursday morning slightly after midnight the
golf pro shop was broken into from the north side of the building and thousands of dollars of new
golf equipment was stolen. If you have any video from that morning that might be useful in
identifying a vehicle please contact Susan at 832-0310.
As always please be aware and report to the Sheriff Dept. any suspicious cars or activity in our neighborhood.
    Thanks.
    The NW Team

Recently learned from Stephen Fanucchi on Tam O’Shanter that the car egging is
continuing. It appears to be high school kids driving a white mini van.
Please keep an eye out for this type of vehicle cruising about.. Stephen captured some pictures
    but not the license plate.
Thanks for being alert and keeping our neighborhood safe.

A note from the Neighborhood Watch Team:
There have been several reports of stolen laptops and other items from locked
vehicles in the neighborhood. One home was broken into when the backdoor was
kicked in. Please report suspicious individuals in the neighborhood to the Sheriff’s
Department and snap a photo of license plate or car/bike if possible.
Thanks for supporting Neighborhood Watch efforts to keep everyone safe.

Neighborhood Watch Update: There have been several reports recently of cars being egged and vehicles slowly cruising through the neighborhood. Tonight. a grey-green Mazda was driving extremely slow and pulling over frequently along Fairway Drive. A report was called into the sheriff with the vehicles license number and photos were taken. Please use Neighborhood Watch to keep everyone aware of concerns & issues.

Hi, I had a very sick looking kit fox on my front walkway a few minutes ago. I called Kern Animal control and they referred me to Fish and Game. He is sending someone out to look for the fox and feels it is Mange as there has been an outbreak. If you see this fox, please give him space. He eventually took off , south on Fairway and was last in the Fairway Court area. I updated Dan at Fish and Game. If you see the fox, Dan’s number is 559-353-0216. He is in Fresno but has biologist to handle this in Bakersfield. He does not feel the fox will attack humans or animals but still give him a wide berth. Says that mange makes them tired and they rest frequently.
