    Neighborhood Watch Update:
We recently received a Property Crime Report for our neighborhood from March 1, 2012 to Feb. 28, 2013
from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office. The following is a quick summation:
    Burglary 12
    Larceny 7
    Vehicle Burglary/Theft 6
    Grant Theft Vehicle 1
    Total Incidents: 26

“Almost half of the incidents have been residential burglaries with the middle of the week
(Tues & Wed) experiencing the highest numbers. In the first 2 months of 2013 there were
9 crime reports….which was equivalent to March-August 15th in 2012. Property crime has increased
    significantly.

Please continue to report unusual activity or neighborhood watch concerns on our website in addition
    to calling the Sheriff’s Department.
    Thanks.

Maroon Buick Regal 3EBT478 3-4 young black men entered through the alley and removed screens and tried to break in. Came home and chased them away. This happened Friday afternoon about 12:15pm. Filed report with sheriffs…learning that they are not aware of alley entrances off Ottingdale in Amerberton. Maybe we need to start an alley watch as well.

    Neighborhood Alert:
Three Hispanic boys about 14-15 years of age were riding bikes throughout the neighborhood this evening.
They were followed by 2 neighbors in cars as they cruised about cul-de-sacs and down towards Tam O’ Shanter.
It was suggested that perhaps they were the same young kids who were trying to open car doors on Yosemite
last week. Larry Bright followed them until they left Old Stockdale, turning into Park Stockdale. “They were obviously looking for an opportunity and up to no good”. The incident was reported to the Sheriff’s Department.
Larry was able to take pictures of them.
PLEASE lock your house and car doors, turn on your home alarm at night and
continue to post updates about neighborhood concerns.
