My name is Vincent Del Papa and I am part of the Ford Dimension team. As a summer project, my group is collecting canned goods that we can relay to the Bakersfield Gleaners in order to help fight starvation in the community. With your help, we can help feed the needy and hungry people across Bakersfield. If you could help me out it would be much appreciated. I can either come and pick them up from you or you could drop them off on my front porch (6508 Tevis Drive). Any donations will help a lot.
    Thank you,
    Vincent

Has anyone else had numbers written in chalk on their mailbox? We found 5-4 written on 3 sides of mailbox column.

Walking (south) past the Berry’s this evening around 8:30. Noticed a 2003-2005 White F-150 parked along the west side of Mt. Lowe with lights off. I made an obvious move to view the rear license plate. The driver noticed my action, started the vehicle and drove south with lights off until he reached the Farr’s home where the head-lights came on followed by a turn to the left towards Fairway. License Plate started with “678….” Continuing my walk, along Mt. Hood heading east towards Fairway, I spied the gang-banger, criminal wannabe, worthless hoodlum leaving the area!

Many thanks to all the neighbors who have commented or reported suspicious activity in the neighborhood recently.
A quick thought: Most of us carry a cell phone about. Don’t hesitate to use it to take photos
of cars, people, license plates, etc. Unfortunately, this website doesn’t have the capacity to allow
you to post them, but they could be very valuable to the Sheriff’s Department.

:My son noticed the same car pull into the gravel in front of our home on Mt. Whitney at about 12:30pm yesterday. The passenger door was aligned with our driveway. At the time, the driveway was empty; the house appeared vacant. As the male started to exit the vehicle, my son came out of our guest house and started toward him. They took off. He was unable to get a license, as well. Today, I contacted the Sheriff’s Comm Center and advised of the license info. that was reported earlier.

The person who saw the car and obtained the license number should call the Sheriff’s Dept. Perhaps they will link the previous report by Mr. Ennis to this call as they appear related.

    Hi Bryan,
Who is going to call Sheriff’s office to turn in the license plate number… I think you would be a great candidate to do that? I do think we should report it, don’t you? Sheri Horn-Bunk, 900 Mt. Lassen

That’s great that Mr Huser was able to get the license number! That information should be forwarded to the Sheriff’s Office if it has not been.

I also saw the same car along with another neighbor. It came out of our neighborhood and went down to the Mobil Station. I was able to get the plate: 6XUY784 The car was definitely sketchy, and the driver seemed lost. This was about 12:45.

As I was leaving my home on Mt Lassen at noon today an older black small sedan with a wrecked front end stopped near my home. The driver was a young black female and the passenger a young black male. The male got out of the car and appeared to be walking toward my house, my wife was in the yard gardening. When he saw me turn around he went across the street to my neighbor and appeared to take a cell phone picture of my neighbors car and home. Then he quickly got in the car and they left. Neither myself or my neighbors that observed them had a chance to get the license number. We notified the sheriff.
